Planning for BrauFest (June 4-5) is coming along well. Here's the outline: There WILL be camping available at the brewery. Weather permitting, we'll campfire Friday night – homebrewers bring beer to pass! Saturday we've added a bike ride from the brewery to the Laura Ingalls Wilder dugout site near Walnut Grove. 11AM departure, lunch at the dugout, then back to the brewery for beer and fun. Softball tourney all weekend, if you have a team email Mary. Street Dance Saturday night outside the BrauHaus which is about a block from the brewery. Should have a couple new beers to intro that weekend as well! It shouldn't be hard to beat last year's weather. Beer and food available all weekend, including a couple casks. If you've never been to Lucan, this is a great opportunity to grab a pint and tour our little slice of heaven!

Save the Date, June 5-6 is BrauFest here in Lucan! Open House here at the brewery; come check out the hopyard and barley patch. BrauHaus has karaoke Fri night, and Street Dance Sat night. If you've never been out, it's about a 2 block walk. Softball tourney at the park all weekend. Of course, great Brau Bros Beer available everywhere. We're still rehabilitating the Beer Garden here at the brewery; I'm not sure it will be ready for festing, but we'll keep you posted. It's a great opportunity to come out and see what's going on in Lucan, hope to see you here! We hope to have Old 56, the fire truck, up and pumping (beer) for the weekend. Heading to New Prague tonight to sample some beer at Fishtail Grill and Bar @7pm. This Saturday we'll be at Firkin Fest at the Gnome in St. Paul. Looks like we'll be bringing Double Dry-Hopped Sheephead and Elisha's Olde Ale. Should be a blast! We hope to have The Old 56 truck in house in the next week or two. After that, we'll try to get it ready for events this summer. Old 56 the beer is doing extremely well; can't keep any inventory! We hope to announce a new spring seasonal any day now. We're very excited about this one, it's something we've never done before. Maybe a collaboration brew?

Elisha's Olde Ale will ship soon in 750mL bottles, SD kegs already left the brewery. Nice article in the Sioux Falls Business Journal, http://siouxfallsbusinessjournal.argusleader.com/article/20100210/INSIDELOOK/100209041 -does a very nice job of describing the whole competition. Ring Neck Braun Ale is year round, so keep drinking it!

Rainwater Oak Aged Stout is officially released. Drop me a not and let me know if you're having trouble finding it. Also - on Feb 8, I'll be talking about homebrewing in Windom from 6:30 - 8:00pm. We'll talk how-to's and why-for's with some demonstrations. Maybe even sample a couple beers. Email Kris for details and sign-up.

You'd be surprised how many people live in the region and still don't know we're here. Also, pond is froze over and I'm looking for my skates. Boot Hockey anyone?

Big news – Sunday, Dec 20th KSTP will be featuring Brau Bros between 10pm and 11pm on the news! Jason Davis of “On the Road with Jason Davis” came to Lucan and spent an afternoon with us. I believe it will replay on Monday between 11am and noon during the news, and again on Tuesday during “Twin Cities Live”. Just remember, he said that for some reason, t.v. makes you look like you have less hair than in real life. Remember that. Should be cool to see, we're really looking forward to it. Our friends at the BrauHaus were also visited and hopefully they'll be tv stars as well.
